The festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr typically begin with the sighting of the new moon. It’s mainly a signal of EID day and finishing of the Ramadan. Muslims gather in mosques or open spaces for special prayers known as the “Salat al-Eid”. After the prayers, people exchange Blessed Eid and Happy Eid.
